NYS Required Training

NYS Required Training:
Identification And Reporting Of Child Abuse And Maltreatment

Hudson Valley Professional Development, LLC is an approved provider of the coursework required by Chapter 544 of the New York State Laws of 1988 regarding the identification and reporting of child abuse and maltreatment. Chapter 544 requires training in the identification and reporting of child abuse and maltreatment be taken by chiropractors, dental hygienists, dentists, optometrists, physicians, podiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers, licensed master social workers, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, creative arts therapists, psychoanalysts, licensed behavior analysts, certified behavior analyst assistants, school administrators/supervisors, school service personnel, and school teachers.

The updated law requires that mandated reporters, including those who have previously undergone the current training, complete the updated training curriculum by April 1, 2025.

Hudson Valley Professional Development, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0618 and the State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed creative arts therapists #CAT-0091, licensed marriage and family therapists #MFT-0089, licensed mental health counselors #MHC-0192, and licensed psychoanalysts #P-0056.

Hudson Valley Professional Development, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Psychology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychologists #PSY-0032.
